In his senior season, Hamlette, a first-team all-Northwest selection at defensive end, racked up double-digit sacks in helping his team to a district championship.
Hamlette finished with eight sacks from the defensive end position last season as a junior.
A 3-sport athlete, Hamlette plays football, basketball and participates in track (discus and shot-put).
Head coach Jeff Berry: "He played spot duty at offensive tackle when we needed him to fill in. He has real long arms and great feet. At defensive end, we had a 3-man rotation. He only had about two-thirds of the snaps and he still had eight sacks. He disrupted a lot of passes with his long arms. He is a real good player for us. He has put on 10 to 15 pounds since last season and we expect big things from him next season."
