Roberts is extremely versatile, as he saw time at RB, WR, CB, S, PR and KR last season as a junior. He finished the season with 1,000 yards rushing and 12 touchdowns on 118 carries, had 22 receptions and returned two punts for touchdowns. Defensively, he racked up 8 interceptions.

For his junior season performance, Roberts earned Group AA, Central Region first-team honors at running back and defensive back. He also earned AP AA second-team all-state honors at defensive back.

Roberts continued his excellent player in his senior season, rushing for 2,235 yards rushing and earning Bay Rivers district and Region I Offensive Player of the Year honors. He also earned first-team all-Tidewater honors.

Head coach Chris Fraser: "He is tall and covers a lot of ground. He has great speed and he has got really great hands. At 6'2", he is tall and rangy. That's probably why he won't be a running back in college."
