Notables (last updated Jan 12, 2007)
Manuel, a three-year starter at quarterback on the varsity level, completed 56% of his passes in his junior season, throwing for 1,973 yards with 15 touchdowns and only seven interceptions. He rushed for over 300 yards with five touchdowns as well.

Head coach Darnell Moore: “He’s a quarterback. A lot of people like to label him as a quarterback/athlete, but he’s an athletic quarterback. He’s a drop-back passer who can run very well. He’s really a dual-threat quarterback, but he throws the ball extremely well and extremely accurate.”
