A true pass-first point guard, Munson broke the career assists record at DeMatha during his junior season, in which he averaged 12.8 points and 7.7 assists a game for 29-2 DeMatha. Munson also shot 91% from the free throw line and 47% from three-point range.

His senior year, Munson averaged close to 17 points and 7 assists per contest in leading DeMatha to a 34-1 overall record. Munson was selected to participate in the Capital Classic.
