A Bad Night in Boston February 24, 2010 Chestnut Hill, MA - Virginia Tech was outshot, outrebounded, outhustled and outplayed in an 80-60 loss at Boston College on Wednesday night. The Hokies were blown out of the gym from the opening tip, trailing 15-2 early in the game, and they never recovered. Tech dropped to 21-6 overall and 8-5 in the ACC with the loss. Two More Wins February 23, 2010 On the heels of Sunday night's 67-55 loss at Duke, Virginia Tech is now 21-5 and 8-4 in the ACC. In most years that would be considered a lock for the NCAA tournament, but because of Tech's non-conference schedule, they are going to need to win two more games to feel confident about a tournament invite. more

In the last 34 seasons, the Hokies have won a conference tournament, won the NIT, won NCAA tournament games, featured All-Americans on the roster, defeated #1 teams, and all sorts of other good things. Hokies Down Deacs 87-83 February 17, 2010 Blacksburg, VA - Trailing by double digits with just over 10 minutes to play, Virginia Tech pulled off a furious rally down the stretch to defeat #23 Wake Forest 87-83 on Tuesday night in Cassell Coliseum. The victory was Tech's fifth in a row, and they moved to 21-4 overall and 8-3 in the ACC. Wake Forest dropped to 18-6 overall and 8-4 in conference play. more

The Hokies are now 20-4 on the season, with a 7-3 mark in the ACC. Their next two games are against Wake Forest and Duke, who sit at #2 and #1 respectively in the ACC standings. Hokies Win Ugly, Beat Clemson 70-59 February 6, 2010 Blacksburg, VA - Virginia Tech beat Clemson in a long, foul-ridden game 70-59 in Cassell Coliseum on Saturday afternoon. A total of 54 fouls were called during the game, and the Hokies made 38 free throws. Tech improved to 18-4 overall with the win, and are now 5-3 in the ACC. Clemson dropped to 16-7 and 4-5. more

All Right, Who's Next? February 5, 2010 Tech's game with UNC ended last night around 11pm. The players probably got to sleep around 1am. Now Clemson comes to town with their difficult fullcourt press, and the Hokies have just one day of preparation/rest between that game and the UNC game. Meanwhile, Clemson had the entire week off. They arrived in Blacksburg on Thursday to beat the snow. They are resting up right now in their hotel, as fresh as they can be, after a whole week of preparing for the Hokies. more

Tech knocked off UNC 74-70 in a hard fought game in Cassell Coliseum on Thursday night. As expected, turnovers were the difference. The Hokies are now 17-4 overall, with a 4-3 record in the ACC. UNC dropped to 13-9 and 2-5 in conference play. more
